Basement Buildout

This lower-level buildout took an unfinished basement through framing, insulation, drywall and a full flooring installation, converting it into usable living space rather than storage. Framing was run to accommodate a full egress window and a code-compliant ceiling height throughout.

Luxury vinyl plank flooring was chosen over hardwood for the level, since a below-grade floor sees more moisture movement than anywhere else in a house, and the plank profile holds up to that without the acclimation and expansion concerns solid wood would carry.
